Whiteout

A couple weeks ago, I said that I’ve been continually impressed, by some of the cars coming out of Canada lately. Jason’s GVB STi is one such car. This thing is money.

The GVB hasn’t proven to be as popular with the tuning scene, as some of the past iterations of the Impreza. I can’t see why, as the car has plenty of potential.

The Voltex wing fits the rear perfectly.

No matter which Impreza you’re looking at, the rear corner is always the car’s best angle. White on white is a tough combination to pull off properly, he’s done it.

Lots of great things going on in Canada right now. Hopefully Jason doesn’t mind me using his photos and make sure to visit his Flickr, for more shots of his STi.

Step Your Wheel Game Up

The Volk CE28N is still my favorite wheel of all time. But I was thinking, what other wheels do I like from Rays Engineering?

With the exceptions of the CE28N and TE37, their lineup is dare I say, lacking? As far as total product lineup, Advan continues to be my favorite Japanese wheel manufacturer. Their booth at Tokyo Auto Salon is a testament to that.

I would rock every wheel in this photo.

For me all of Advan’s wheel designs are timeless. It’s the same case for the CE28N and TE37, but not many of Rays’ other wheels.

Now before anyone decides to pipe in and tell me I’m wrong, we’re talking about aesthetics here, so that comes down to personal opinion. You may prefer Rays, that’s fine too. I’m also not arguing performance here. I know that Volks are forged and most Advans are cast. Although after owning the RS for 6 years, they’ve held up great.

On a different note, I think Enkei have been killing it lately.

Midori Is More Than A Color

Midori builds some of the most badass GT-R’s in Japan. If you haven’t heard of them, you should look into it. They’ve been around for years and things only seem to be getting better for the shop. Recently, they moved into a brand new, state of the art location (more on that later this week).

This R34 GT-R is on point. No frills, just honest performance. I’m loving the gray and black color combination. TE37′s never fail to complete a car.

Super Lap

Here’s a nice GRB STi hard parking in downtown LA, rocking a set of the new TE37 SL’s.

I can’t say I’m too crazy about the SL’s, but they do look really good on this car.

Anyone Need A Spare?

There has to be at least 20-30 sets of magnesium TE37′s here.

If I ever get a GT-R, it’s going to be white and I’m somehow going to get a set of these wheels on the car. I don’t care if they’re for motor sport use only. Anything can be done with enough money, anything.
