A Whole Different Level

D Money has been one of the most prominent members of the Subaru community since I started going on the forums years ago. His car has gone through many revisions, but he seems to kill it time and time again. This past week D revealed the latest phase of his GDA Impreza. No matter what I can say about the car, it won’t do it justice. Have a look at the pictures and see for yourself.

It takes enormous amounts of skill, passion and patience to build any car on this level. But the end result is that of flawless execution.

The general consensus is that the GDA has always been one of the weaker-looking iterations of the Impreza. I challenge those to say the same of this car.

I really like how multiple elements have come together to complete the look of the front and rear ends of D Money’s Impreza. The rear is the definition of aggressive street.

No, your eyes aren’t fooling you, that’s a genuine JUN front bumper. The Chargespeed carbon brake ducts and ARC side splitters are such great additions to the piece. I’ve always felt that the JUN front bumper was difficult to pull off, but not in this case.

The level of detail in the engine bay alone is worth it’s own post. Everything has been polished or powder coated, no expenses were spared in this build.

If it sounds like I’m gushing over a car, it’s because I am. This car is an example of why I love tuning and more importantly Subarus. It’s the reason I started this blog in the first place. To share builds like this with people who may not have seen them otherwise. I have massive respect for the kind of person who will forgo life’s necessities to achieve this level of tuning. This is not a shop car, it’s privately owned and it’s important to know that. Some may call these types of enthusiasts crazy for their obsession. I call them artists.

  1. Yes, I have saved all the photos for inspiration for my own wrb bugeye. Just wow! Love everything about this car. D Money is “on da money”!

  2. car looks great, but since i can’t see the paint in person the color is kind of boring. looks too similar to wrb lol. i would’ve gone with a more striking color or kept it white :p happy to see it finished though.
